A beautiful Poetry by Pablo Neruda....

This one poem by Pablo Neruda I came across on the net which I liked so much that I could not hold myself from posting it here...

Sonnet XVII
I do not love you as if you were the salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

The free fall...

The hunters gathering around

The buffalo

On the walls of some primitive cave

Primitive but stark

So close to reality of

Now

That I merged

Blood

Trickled out

With each spear – finding its mark

And Dislodging

Each drop that fell

On me

From me

Sapping my strength

Loosing my space

On the ground

The circle drew closer

Closing in on me

Overhead the God’s Smiled

Along with circling Hawks

And

I went for a free fall.

Om Namah Shivaya

Virtual

Supper...

Between bites

Her eyes find me

I reach out to remove a crumb

She Sleeps...

A haiku style poetry ( I really dont conform to the 17 Syllable rule of Haiku). I like writing this kind of poetry as it paints picture with words.

She sleeps....

She throws her legs

Unwrapping

My dreams
